Corey,

That's cool that you'll be showing up for the BYP. Contact our tournament director Dan Feiderlein ([email protected]) and get his number so you
can let him know if you are coming, showing up late, etc so he puts you on the chart.

ps "Fear.The.Second.Pass" is a 700 point rookie from phoenix, so that should give you an idea of the quality of foosball in Phoenix. Definitely Tucson has the better players.

Could Phoenix players be getting better? Although I see the Cowboy needs to be given double life to get a descent result.

Thanks to Corey and the Smith family for making the trip to Tucson. It was fun having you guys at our tourney.
I'm sure you'll see a few AZ foosers at the Sun City Open. Pinalyzer it was fun playing with you.

I agree with JB.

I just think that guys always seem to try to tailor things too much to the unknown for these Tucson/Phoenix tournaments. For the most part
everyone that goes to this particular tournaments know exactly the details. So if somebody is expecting a tournament at 8pm that didnt
know about the 6pm or 7pm start time for the BYP then screw it. Why do the rest of us need to get screwed, especially those who's turn it is
to drive 2hrs. And let's be honest, if somebody is expecting a tournament at 8pm then there is still no way they can get in for a "6 o 7pm" start
time (that is if you start the tournament on time). And how many of these cases happen? Maybe 1 or 2 people? Or is it the majority of the players
that fall under this scenario?

For one thing, the schedule needs to be fully resolved before the previous week's DYP. So that you can personally let people know and remind them
of the time change for this special event. Dan is currently sending out text messages with tournament info. I think reminders via email and text should be
sent out a few times to remind people.

It's your responsibility as tournament director to start the tournament on time and adhere to the times you posted, and people show up late without
letting you know ahead of time then don't let them play. Like i said before, i dont have a problem with people calling ahead of time, taking their name
and giving them 1/2 hr or so of cushion after the tournament started because usually the first round takes over an hour.

I think also as long as the first event doesnt delay the singles start time, that would help greatly to get this things finished sooner. In this case, i dont think there's
a risk of the 1 ball delaying anything.

Next time instead of 1 ball, you can do 1 game (race to 5) single elimination, or goalie wars (single elimination). I may consider something like that. But no way
i'm driving up 2 hours earlier to play 1 ball.

Thanks for the tournament Bill. Yea, it was quite the anomaly. But it was still fun. I missed more passes than I can remember for one tournament. Tim and Dave suck for not playing more often. Tim played
really great, and even though I knew some of his trick shots, I still couldnt stop them. Eric man handled us in doubles. Seems like the home court advantage does factor in quite
a bit since the hosting city typically wins. Good job to the Tucson foosers that stepped up (Billy, Bob, Teddy). The rest of us suck (for now).

When you split you get two first places? At least give the winner's bracket winner the 1st. You guys suck! Splitting doesnt really help the Lo player get better or get the experience
of playing in a final.

For sure the Tucson foosers represented!!! We had 10 strong I believe

Jenn, Chris, Zeke, John, Bob, Dan, Dave, Jack, Kathy, Matt

Had a great time burning out playing foos. Warrior table played great, and the IFP setup is pretty cool. Corey great job giving
Ryan a run for his money. Too bad you didnt get it going earlier so we could have battled it out in expert singles.

Anyways, hopefully we can have a Tucson/Phoenix/El paso/Albuquerque tournament at some point.

Sean,

For now just go to sports authority or target and pick up some Wilson tennis wraps. Also, I believe Gordie had bought some Forten wraps which
are fairly good and he may want to sell you some. Those dont last very long and by far the best ones are the foosball TTR Masterwraps. I will buy some
in Vegas and will probably buy extra ones and sell them locally so people save on the shipping cost.

Phoenix figured they can get their asses handed to them at the Tucson/Phoenix challenge, so why travel all the way to El Paso to get hammered by
the Tucson folks!!! smile
