OK- I'm actually starting to get interested in this stupid game again, but its hard for me to make every Sat DYP and I'm not interested in playing league
I know this topic has been hashed out time and time again (and then some) but I'm going to bump it once more!
Anyone interested in starting/running a weekly DYP/Hi-Lo event? I'd be willing to help run it if someone else wants to share in TD duties (I know I can't make it every week, but I can make it most of the time)
I know there are players out there that want to play more than once a week!

The Sets or Clicks- I'm sure Scott would like to have a dyp at the sets again, but then again, its nice having the 3 tables at clicks.
I'm thinking a Monday night hi-lo (A/B) draw and players would earn/lose points based on how high they place (would start off with the league/vifa points and then keep a separate record of points earned/lost- this way when players start to show improvement, they can move up from a B ranking to a A ranking) |

Geez man- I'm just throwing the idea out for the masses to debate/criticize over first.
I picked Monday because its a great way to let out stress after starting the new work week (plus it was hugely popular when I played back in VA, a A/B draw averaging about 10-12 teams). Also it seems that most people are usually too busy mid-week to play, then there is league that runs on Thurs and Fridays are not a good night for a draw (unless you are in Texas). Wednesday is no good for me (if I'm going to run this thing).
Good idea about NetFoos- hey Dan, you willing to share your database?

Yes- I'm starting this up again- now that I'm back in town for the forseeable future- I'm hoping to start the Monday Hi-Lo tournament asap.
Unfortunately, now that the sets is out of the equation, I think Clicks will be the main venue (until another location can be established in the east valley (Tempe/Chandler)).
Billy- thoughts? I assume that Clicks would be open to having a Monday night draw? |
