Address: 10040 N. 43rd Ave., Glendale, AZ

This tournament will be a SINGLE EVENT, Draw-Your-Partner Roto Doubles, using regular Stinger's rules and entry fees, with 100% payback plus $500 added by Stinger's Sports Bar and AZ Foosball. Our objective with this event is to get the biggest turnout we can on a regular Saturday at Stinger's while also running it as efficiently as possible, and to see if we can make it economically viable to the sponsor to consider repeating at some regular interval.
"BIG STING" HIGHLIGHTS:

* 4:00 official start time (this is MANDATORY; please show up early)
* Tables will be opened at noon for FREE PLAY until event begins. ($5 table fee for event.)
* There will be no other events to conflict with this one.
* Winners paid to 5th place, regardless of turnout.
* Regular Stinger's entry fees ($12 pros, $8 Am/Ex, $5 Beg)
* Standard Stinger's tournament rules (this includes "point card(s)" granted to players with under 2.0 league rating)
* Some or all of loser's side of bracket may be played in abbreviated format depending upon turnout and time considerations ("7-11" format is likely)
* Match times will be strictly enforced (all players must be at table and ready to play within 5 minutes of match being called or forfeits will be levied)
* Three tables (including two T-3000 upgrades!) on site.

IMPORTANT NOTES TO PLAYERS:
We ask that all players be aware of the main purpose of this event, and to do their best to help in its success. We will place a large tournament chart on the wall so that all players can easily see their place in the tournament. Please try to keep the following points in mind:

* You should NOT ask "if your team can play next". Matches will be called in the order that best facilitates the event as a whole - not any one particular team.
* You MAY ask "can you give us an estimate of when our next match will be called?"
* If you are informed that your team is going to be playing on one of the next open tables, please try to locate your partner and opponents and get them ready to play.

Feel free to ask any questions in this thread, or give us a call!

Looking forward to a great time, and hope to see everyone there!

So the what are the rules for the Roto? Switch after every scored point by your own team?

That's pretty much it. Switch when (and only when) you score, starting position can be changed each game; all standard rules otherwise. We've been doing some of these over the past year or so, and they've been very popular.

Btw, for out-of-town players that are considering this tournament, but aren't so sure about making the drive for ONE event, we plan to still hold our regular Friday action at Cactus Moon (an early singles will be added if turnout looks strong). So guys/gals can come down Friday for a good warmup in Mesa, and head over to the $500-added Big Sting on Saturday. Will be a great weekend.

NOTICE 1: Two Stinger's tables will be upgraded to T-3000 smile (There will be three tables in total on site.)

NOTICE 2: All measures will be taken to run the event efficiently (see initial post). However, recall that the primary objective is to have an event that is both popular and fun for the players, while simultaneously maximizing the benefit (profit) to the local establishment with the objective of convincing the host to offer a repeat event. So we aim to strike a balance between an all-around nice foosball tournament, and a fun social event as well, where many players will be on site most of the day.
