I don't recall agreeing to that. (That doesn't mean I didn't, though smile )

Does everyone think that we should switch?

Questions:
1) Do they last as long as the old style?
2) Do they cost more/less?
3) How do they compare?

It would probably be best at the Sets; is that what you are thinking?

And on which night?

It would also be good if it were "beginner friendly" - since most of them shy away from the Saturday tournament.

You could also consider using the NetFoos points, and sharing the database/UI that Dan uses for Tucson. That will also be beneficial in some other ways. I'm sure your idea will work fine as well.

Do you think Monday would be best? It might be good to talk to a bunch of the players, as well as the bar.

Congratulations, Casey. You really earned that title. Not only did you get by Ben Z. in the title match, who has been playing great and constantly improving ("Most Improved 2009"), but you did it while sporting that heavy 6.7 rating!

I will buy you a beer next time I see you. Actually, I am supposed to see you today, now that I think about it. Since you are the league stud, maybe it would be more "manly", though, if you bought the beer.

We have decided to offer a "Pick-your-Partner Draw" event on the 3rd Saturday of each month. Notice that this is NOT a "Bring-your-Partner" style event. It is essentially a variation of a random draw, with the difference being that each drawn player may select his/her partner. Check out the tournaments page for more details...

Sign-up for Summer League now!

BillyBoy

The Arizona Foosball Summer League is preparing to kick off in July (just a couple of weeks!). As most of you are aware, our last version was the best so far - a full 16 teams, lots of new players, and some really exciting playoff and title races. The season finale "Foos Bowl" was also a big hit, with close to 50 players on hand all day to compete, root, cheer, drink beer, hang out, goof off, congratulate, and drink beer once more.

I am excited for our league as we are getting bigger and better each season. The game is attracting lots of new people, everyone seems to be having fun, and it's overall just starting to look more and more like the 1970's again.

But enough blathering about how cool we have been - on to the coolness ahead!

TO SIGN UP:

To register, simply go to the Leagues section (menu bar at left), and click on the "Join" option on the league menu bar. You will also be able to see the current sign-up sheet, with a complete breakdown of all players who are participating this season, along with their individual location preferences, teammates reserved and/or needed, and contact info which should come in handy if you are still looking to partner up. There is also a section on the sign-up sheet for you to offer suggestions or comments.

Within the next couple of weeks we will be calling the players to finalize teams, locations, etc., and to organize the best possible schedule.

Of course, feel free to post or call if you have any other questions, or any trouble signing up.

I look forward to seeing everyone soon!
