Photos, anyone?

If anyone has any pictures that you think would be cool to add to the photo gallery for all to see (and comment on), send them over to us at [email protected]!

I plan to add some features soon to individualize site privileges, so, e.g., those who would like to add pictures, etc., will have the ability to do so on their own. But for now, if you want to upload something just let me know smile

Trouble getting updated league doc's?

A couple people had trouble getting the latest league doc's, even when they were present on the server. This appeared to have to do with browser caching, etc., and it should be fixed. But if anyone has this problem again, let me know!

The Sets?

Why do you want Tucson-Phoenix to be there?

There are only two tables.

They constantly move the tables around, so every time I'm there I have to set them up again.

Last time several people offered to help move a table for the Tucson-Phoenix challenge. Of course, when the time came, I had to do it (with a busted hand) AND I had to pay for it. At the Sets we might have to move two.

But again, tell me why you want the tourney there... that is a start.

Not enough tables. They've also become much less accommodating.

It will be on May 16. It is our League Championship day - Foosbowl V.

We will do the Foosbowl a bit earlier than normal, then have Open Singles and Doubles.

We will try to have a fourth table again, assuming I can get a commitment for a little slave labor smile

Anyhow, the Foosbowl ought to make the overall event more bigger, as most of the league players will be on hand. Also, the league championships only need a table or two at a time, so come up a bit early to meet the guys and do some practice games, etc.

I will post an official flyer and banner, etc., in a few days...

Help Wanted for Foosbowl V!

We would like to bring in a fourth table for our upcoming Foosbowl V (League Championships) and Tucson/Phoenix Challenge on May 16.

We're looking for a couple volunteers who would like to help out and move a table from the Sets to Clicks on Friday, and bring it back sometime soon after the event (within a day or two), AND would love to do this for FREE! Haha!

(Well, I will gladly pay your entry fees to the tournament, and talk very highly of you all night as well.)

This task is not very difficult, but as some of you know, I have some trouble with my wrist and plenty else to do as well, so hopefully one of you strapping young chaps will be into it.

Missing Rod Locks

I only noticed recently that the two black rod locks I have (used to hold foos bars in place for practice, etc.) have disappeared. I haven't used them for awhile, but as I think about it I believe the last place I saw them was at one of our big events (Foosbowl?) a year or two back, where we had a goalie war event or something, and I probably left them there.

SOOOOOOOOO...

I was hoping that someone out there came across these and has been using them at home, thankful to the foos gods for giving you these nice foosball gifts which are often admired by jealous guests!

If you have magically come into possession of these items and didn't know whose they were, then YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR MAN smile

Sloppy Joes - the real thing, or paper lions?

admin

Well, a team has finally done what seemed impossible, and completed a perfect regular season at 14-0.

Congratulations to T.J. Telles, Mike Sames, and Dan Martin for laying it down all season long, and doing it all without any performance enhancing drugs.

The big question now is "can they reach true perfection, and stay unbeaten to win the 2009 League Championship?". Such a performance is the stuff of legends, known to be the springboard to lucrative promotional deals and occasional bit parts in bad movies.

So what is the consensus - will they be able to pull this one off for the record books?

Will there be an historic collapse as the Joes must face the top Eastern and Western conference challengers, and such killing machines as Wettlaufer, Nelson, Derek Martin, Billups/Teeter (Terminator), or the dynamic White/La Fountain duo?
Or will they step up to the plate and hit that full count pitch into the bleachers, achieving foosball immortality while simultaneously reinforcing that notion that we've all suspected this season - that we've just been played for a bunch of chumps?

Well, it is sure going to be exciting. I know that come the finals I, for one, will be rooting vehemently for whichever team seems to be leading the match at any given time. This method seems to be the most unbiased, and also guarantees that you are not let down.
