My Foos Biography! Sep. 6, 2026

Started playing in '83 on a duetch while serving a 90 day sentence at a boys camp for delinquents.
I found an arcade with a Dynamo brown top when I got home and quickly dominated most locals.
Went to first Tornado tournament in '89 and got to see what a real five bar was.  Bought a table and practiced consistently. I convinced the arcade to get another table and began running tournaments drawing 
experts and pros from the twin cities area.  I found a new location that agreed to 4 tables and had tournaments drawing 30-40 players every week.  Playing with Gummenson's wife Jackie in 3 local tourneys, 
I moved up to expert status.  In '98 Horton, Swan, Wydman, and several expert and pro's moved to MN to 
work with me through Steve Mohs' roofing company.  Scott and broke away, started our own company and played most nights after work.  I turned pro in 2000 after winning open doubles with Ray Haar (RIP), in Wisconsin shooting a roll over, and a South Dakota open with Horton.  Then came the Mall of America weekly tourneys, which I ran and frequently won.  all the MN masters would be there, and it was the best foos I've seen for a weekly, until I moved to CO.  I moved into house with Wydman and 2 other world champs 5 years ago and after not touring for 15 years, I started practicing hard again with Wydman, Piper, Loffredo, Mares, Ditto, and my game slowly improved.  Best tourney was 2000 worlds. I won a table and took 2nd to Fredrico in the winner take all.  I'm not rated pro now, but I plan on going to the '27 kickoff to see how I fare.  Thanks to Jesse and Adrian and Bill for the well run tourney's and leagues.   I shoot a pull kick now for the amount of options and it seems to be working OK  The players in AZ have been great about making this old man feel welcome. Thank you.
