Thought I would take just a few seconds to say that I've had a great time lately playing (some pretty crappy) foos, and it seems to me that the whole scene has been getting cooler by the week. There are about four days a week with something going on, each of which have taken on their own character and coolness. Tonight, a bunch of far-eastern Phoenix players drove out to Stingers (on the west side of town) to play on "open mic stand up comic" night. Even though the game is (and probably always will be) an underground sport played by bona fide nerds, there is a special sort of pride that one experiences when he/she is having a great time smashing balls around and listening to one comic after another make fun of the game because it is attracting more attention than they are LOL
